    Card Reader Not Showing IN My Computer


    Hi

    I upgraded to windows 7 from xp over a year ago on my Dell Dimension 5150 and all has been fine.

    All of a sudden my internal card reader has dissapeared from My Computer. The strange thing is its still there in device manager. I have tried uninstalling from device manager and rebooting to see if that helps but just installs again and does not show in my computer

    Please can soomeone help

    I have now found that if i check box show hidden files folders and drives in folder options the card reader shows up but i still cant do anything with them....help

    The card reader is the removable disks but if you look they are not listed under my computer on the left i have attached a screen print

    Stick a card in and you should see it.

    Sure they are ... the different card "slots" are shown under the Removable Media entries.

    H, I, J and K are a listing of each card slot individually.

    My card reader not be listed so I do next:
    1.put card into card reader 9and when you hear sound)
    2. open windows explorer and click right click on "Computer" listed in left part of windows explorer.
    3. click manage , disk managment,click on sd card field with right click and then change drive letter ,add and assign one letter to it...
    hope it will help.
