Sony VAIO VGN-NR330e laptop keyboard acting weird...

    Sony VAIO VGN-NR330e laptop.

I cleaned the keyboard right before installing Windows 7 on it. Now, the keyboard is acting very strange. I don't know if cleaning it messed up something sensitive and now the hardware itself is shot, or if it's a driver, or a flat out compatibility issue with Windows 7.

I tend to believe it is not the hardware itself, as when I pop off the problem keys and put them back on, they respond normally. But only to a light touch, not if you hold it depressed.

Then again, even when I get the entire keyboard responding and typing what it should, it is completely messed up all over again upon restart. What on earth???

What did you use to clean it?

Popped all the keys off. Pledge electronics cleaner stuff, sprayed onto a paper towel, then carefully wiped around without disturbing the nub things.

I did find 1 piece of relevant info since. It's possible for it to be confused, thinking that it is using a wireless keyboard. This actually makes sense, since I was nonchalantly plugging my wireless keyboard/mouse in & out. (I hate his touchpad, and I thought maybe *my* keyboard would work.) A few restarts since my stuff staying unplugged, and everything is fine. So I guess this is all it was. =)
