USB port error, random mouse/keyboard disconnects/freeze.

As the title says, lately I've been experiencing some extremely frustrating bugs with mainly my (USB connected) mouse. I have tried using another mouse, which doesn't seem to make any difference, I've also re-installed my OS and didn't get any improvement.

The thing is, every now and then, my mouse disconnects. It can happen once in say, half an hour, but I've also experienced it at least 15 times in a minute. Eventually, this leads to a weird sort of PC crash. It basically seems like the PC still does what it normally does, the internet connection is still up and working, but neither my mouse or my keyboard respond to anything at all. I have to reboot my PC the hard way in order to be able to use it again.

As a frequent gamer, the disconnecting alone is very frustrating of course, but (I play WoW) causing a raid wipe because I disconnect, which happened for the first time yesterday, is beyond frustrating.

I am usually using a quite simple and cheap setup, mouse and keyboard I mainly use are both the cheapest Logitech has to offer.

Here's any info about my PC, hope it helps.
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    Processor: Intel Core i5 2300 2800 MHz
    RAM: 4.00 GB

I'd much appreciate a fast and helpful answer.

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Event viewer (local) and look for the critical errors listed in the last day, week, etc. Then go to the windows log>application tab. Finally the windows Logs>system tabs.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

That is all I found... Hope that's what you're looking for?
Unfortunately these only say the system s not shut down cleanly.
Can you tell us anything more about how/when it shuts down?

Ugh... I was hoping there'd be more info. All I know, I've already mentioned. Although I've noticed a slight increase in the amount of crashes. It used to happen once a day but yesterday there were 3 crashes. It still really seems like there's something wrong with my USB drive, and not my mouse or keyboard.

The way it shuts down, I've mentioned as well, at some point, it disconnects both my mouse and keyboard, and unplugging/replugging doesn't help, basically the only thing left to do seems to be rebooting my PC using the power button... It's unhealthy but honestly, I wouldn't know what else to do at that point.

I think I found out what the issue is. For whichever reason, my USB drivers are gone, and re-installing them is harder then I thought.... any advise on how I should install my USB drivers again?
