Windows 7 - Memory Pen/Stick Stopped Working Only On One PC

please help i have 3 memory pens all of different sizes and makes that all work fine on other pc laptops and tv`s but for some reason the have stopped working on my main windows 7 pc when they worked fine yesterday .when i plug them in i get the beep but it takes about 10mins for it to show then it says you need to format G before you can use it .i click ok to format and it says windows was unable to complete format .the pen drive is now showing in my computer and if i right click, under properties it shows the device is working properly .but if i left click on the drive it says drive is not accessible, incorrect function.i have tried other usb ports and the same happens. i also have a 2tb external drive which works fine in any usb port.

It sounds to me that the computer you used to format the USB stick has malfunctioned. I suggest you use another computer to put the USB stick right. When you have done that see if it works again in the malfunctioning computer. If it fails go to computer management and then Device manager and try and update all the USB controllers.
If that does not clear your problem then it may be that the USB devicess for that computer have failed.
