Original XBOX Controller - No DSEO!
I have found several threads that talk about using DSEO to enable use of an original XBOX controller. Here's how to do it without DSEO in Win 7...
1.) Modify your controller to have a USB connector or buy an adapter that suits the purpose
2.) Google search: "super joy box 9" and go to the first link. It should be a mayflash website.
3.) Scroll to the bottom and click "Driver Download"
4.) Carefully search the list for...
PC018 Super Joy Box 9 Windows Vista/Windows 7
PC019 Super Joy Box 10
PC020 Super Joy Box 11
5.) Download that driver
6.) Right-click the setup file you just downloaded and choose properties
7.) Click on 'Compatibility'
8.) Check the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' box
9.) Change the drop down menu to "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)"
10.) Check the box 'Run this program as an administrator'
11.) Click 'OK' to apply the changes
12.) Run the setup
13.) Plug in your controller and voila, it should recognize
Caveats: I'm running Win 7 Pro x64, not sure how this works on other versions
To configure your controller...
1.) Windows button at bottom
2.) Devices and Printers
3.) Right click on XBOX Gamepad
4.) Game Controller Settings
5.) Highlight TigerGame XBOX to USB Gamepad
6.) Properties
Change Controller Mode: Digital, Analog, Flight, DDR
Turbo and Remap Buttons
HAVE FUN!!!
