    card vs. card


    which is better the GTX 560 Ti(830MHz) or the GTX 560 TOP(925MHz) ? are they pretty much the same, besides the MHz and cost ? which isn't that much. thanx

    The top allows for more aggressive shader processing from what I understand, it's not an enormous difference though.

    Perhaps I am mistaken, but I had a slightly different understanding.

    Memory speeds itself has very little impact overall.
    The core speed is where the most benefits come from, but... Core speed is also linked to Shader Speed.
    So as core speed goes up, so does shader speed.


    If core speed is the only difference, just go with the one you like best.
    You can, if you want, OC the core yourself.

    well shaders are dependent on streams as well, but especially when you are talking about nvidia gpu time is generally being eaten into by physx (even if the game doesn't support it) and AA processing. Shaders are like a far down 3rd in priority for actual processor time.
