    It's exactly what the name implies...a card reader based on a Realtek chip device. It should be physically located on your netbook and usually reads SD and SDHC cards, as well as a few other card formats.

    Are you having a problem with it?

    well,
    i was looking at programs in control panel,
    and wondering what they are for?

    thinking to uninstall some of softwares i may not use.

    If you're sure you'll never use the card reader, you can go ahead and uninstall the Realtek driver software. It won't net you a whole lot of space though, if that's the motivation behind looking for programs to uninstall.

    I am unable to uninstall this on my computer. At all. I can't remove the driver.
