    Need Help with my Mouse Problem.


    Hello Everyone.
    Im new here and hope i am posting in the right section.
    i bought new Motherboard Intel DG41WV saturday evening with 3 year Limited warranty. i assembled the system and started my pc.

    i had previous installed windows 7 32bit and did worked fine except the mouse. THe mouse was continuously moving to bottom right side of the screen and is very hard to put it to the point where i need it. i mean the pointer continuously jumping to bottom right side of the screen.

    i thought it as windows drivers problem , so installed windows 7 again refresh windows but this time 64bit windows and still same problem with it.

    i took my whole pc to the shop where i did purchased my mobo, he replaced it with other motherboard and still the problem not fixed.

    Now please can any one help me. is it the problem in processor , ram or powersupply or still it is the problem in my mohterboard i mean could be case the other mobo is also having same issue but looks very rare.


    please please any one can help me what to do, i already have spent too much and cant afford to buy other board or any thing tell me what to do?

    it was giving problem for every mouse, until they(E-shop) change the power supply and everything did worked fine with new powersupply.. I dont know how can a power supply cause this problem.

    PS/2 mouse continuosly moved downwards and
    USB mouse was not recognized by windows

    no matter how many mouses do i try..

    Well looks like the problem is solved. i will now have to buy a power supply.. I heard that cooler Master Power Supply is a good Power Supply.

    Welcome to SF. Odd but not of complete surprise that a PSU is the culprit. CM makes very good PSU's and many here swear by Corsair. As long as you go a premium brand with good user comments you should have confidence. Please note that PSU's will lose their total power output slowly over time and you tend to upgrade over time. This makes this a great chance to upgrade the underpinning to your current and future systems. I would look at at least 800-850watts and also if you have or plan to show off the guts with a window then go modular design! Good luck and take pictures and post when you upgrade !

    Probably a component failure on one of the minor rails - not sure where Mouse gets its power, (I'd have thought MBO, but ultimately it's from the PSU). Good to read yr supplier swapped MBO, willingly.

    Electrical noise was probably giving moving-mouse signals, hence the issue as you describe.

    Problem Solved.
    Bought New 500W PSU.

    Its working fine now and No issues till now.
