Easy way to transfer Win 7 Pro files to Ipad without Itunes ?

Is there an easy (aka...free) way to transfer files from my Win 7 Pro 32 bit PC to my Ipad without using Apples Itunes ?

We did it once but I can't get the IPad to show up anywhere in my Windows devices and/or computer windows in explorer ?

It does say device drivers loaded when we plug the Ipad into the PC

I believe previously we just did a drag and drop from within Windows explorer...but we can't get the Ipad to show up anywhere in Explorer ?

    Thanks...TRinAZ

    Have you tried Goodreader?

Found this post on another forum, thought it would be helpful for what you're trying to do:

On Windows 7, this can be done as followed. (Instead of browsing to the folder, add the IP address Goodreader shows when you open Wifi-Transfer)
How to Map Network Drive in Windows 7?
    2) To initialize the data transfer, open Goodreader and click on the wifi symbol at the bottom to start Wifi-Sync. Than just do the rest from your computer. You can copy files/folders directly into the Goodreader subdirectory, as it behaves just like a thumb drive.
