Inspiron 560 components on a new motherboard?
Since my Inspiron 560 is overheating when I run more than 2 programs at once and since I have a gaming case which I planned to use once I got all my new equiptment but this problem of overheating came along so I thought of using it with the components from my Inspiron 560. I was wondering, can the components be used on a new motherboard? Before I tried moving the motherboard and all to the new case but that didn't work because the motherboard didn't have the right connectors, I asked around and people said the motherboard was made for the case, this made me think, are the other components made for the case as well?
Im planning on getting a Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3 AMD 870 motherboard which fits the job. I think I will have to get a new power supply since it's only 300watts. Also some more RAM since its 533MHz which is sorta awkward
I think most the components will fit (cpu, gpu, hdd drive and card reader) but with people saying the motherboard was made for the case that confused me.
