Good point.

Well, SSD it is then, this should fix the remaining lag.

I doubt it. What game are you lagging in and in which parts? Have you updated to the latest NVIDIA GPU driver update? SSD for gaming is good when loading. For example, when you are playing Crysis 1, while loading the mission, the load will be way faster than an HDD, but except that, the difference between a HDD and SSD in-game would be minimal. Of course though, an SSD is very good for running Windows 7 on, as everything you do will feel much faster.

It's possible if your previous HDD has some problems that a new hard drive would fix the issue. But 99 out of 100 times, an SSD will not fix lag in a game.

Yeah I doubt it too.

I got reminded, when I installed the upgrade, I used the DVD that the motherboard came with to install the Realtek Audio Driver, because I was too lazy because of their slow server. Any specific way I need to uninstall it, and install the new version?

You mean the NVIDIA GPU Update?

Well, first of all go here What's New - GeForce and download the latest NVIDIA Driver. Then, uninstall all NVIDIA drivers and software you have. Once you have done that, download and install Driver Sweeper. http://www.phyxion.net/Driver-Sweepe...Version-3-2-0/

Restart and boot up into Safe Mode, then launch Driver Sweeper. Tick all NVIDIA things to scan for. Once its done scanning, delete all the results.

Now restart back into normal Windows, and install the latest NVIDIA driver.

I need to do this myself too . Off to it I guess...

Nah I ment the Realtek, you know the Audio Driver.

So I also managed to install all the extensions to the Nvidia Driver, uninstalled the Realtek and replaced it with the new one.
Seems to have made a difference. However, I managed to select "Skip Frames" to "Off" in the game. That'll make it force to show all frames. The other game is still in the lag, maybe it's a software bug.

Nothing wrong. I'll get my SSD sometime anyway. *giggle*

By the way, I noticed a couple of vertical lines on the "Starting Windows" screen. It comes between "Starting Windows" and the rest. So when it switches from it, a couple of vertical lines are there.

Don't know if it's normal or not.

Hard drive's DVD Player destroyed the disc into pieces
I think this goes here. Just now, I was playing a PSX game when all of sudden, I heard a loud pop from my hard drive and then it restarted. The tray was stuck, and I couldn't get the game out for a while (I knew it took a little moving of the front just to open it to pop in a disc, but that...

Invalid Activation Key after putting in several new pieces of hardware
Last weekend I updated some old hardware in my computer (New Motherboard, CPU,Graphics Card, and Harddrive) so I had to do a re-install of my Windows 7 Home premium 64bit. I had to go dig out my windows 7 CD, and I've had the activation key sticker on the side of my box for years, so I used the...

I have a 128gb Intel SSD. I don't have much installed, the three biggest folders are for Battlefield 4 (45gb), My Documents (23gb) and Windows (25gb) I think. The My Docs folder is way too big....I looked into it and could not find anything. Hilighting all of the files shows about 12gb of files...
