    Hello Baxxter I have never used one of these batteries but a look here makes me think it is not worth the money; DELL 85 WHr 9-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery for Dell Latitude D620 Laptop : Laptop Accessories | Dell

    Look at the ratings tab

    Have both and 5 hours is more realistic unless you want to cut performance and use power saver mode.

    what do you mean by "have both" Dell and HP ? and with 9-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery too ?
    why they are sayng it can stay up to 9 hours then ?

    Have a Dell and a 9 cell battery and it cannot in any way run 9 hours. The best I have accomplished is 6 but that is in power saver at a 40 % reduction in performance so for me it is not an option.

    HP's are similar.

    Both of the above do not consider the price. Dells list is $155.

    My wife has a 12 cell battery in her HP laptop and she gets about 7-8 hours on a charge. I have a 9 cell on my Dell laptop and at standard power saving settings, I get about 5-6 hours.

    windows isnt a very battery friendly OS!

    Im a mac user when it comes to laptops, and i get about 8 hours battery from my 13" macbook, if i boot it into windows i only get 2-3hours on a full charge.

    In my case, the 12 cell is an HP similar to this one;

    That battery is going to make the laptop weigh a ton.
