ethernet please

    Seeing as Gateway doesn't even list an ethernet driver for it (3 different wireless drivers though), I would give their hardware detection utility at try (listed at the top of the download page) and see if it will find the ethernet driver.

    and when i click that utility it won't show even i run it as admin still won't show up

    Open Device Manager, open the properties for the ethernet controller again and click on the Details tab. From the dropdown list select Hardware IDs and post back what it shows.

    You have a Broadcom Netlink adapter. Drivers are available directly from Broadcom for all versions of Windows here:

    Your computer does not have the ethernet adapter driver installed. Look for the driver on Gataway site given above by Strollin. The other missing driver (PCI Simple Communication Driver) is the telephone modem driver. As per Strollin's suggestion, install the chipset driver and the modem driver. If your LAN card driver is not installed, you have to find the driver and install it.
