BSOD error can i just put in a hard drive that has xp ?

i am getting BSOD with error process initialization error even with my factory asus windows 7 disc. With no disc i get error of missing boot mgr. Can i just put in a hard drive out of an old pc that has xp???

If you swap in a drive with a pre-installed OS from a PC "with different hardware" the drivers etc will not match and you will likely get lots of error messages, if not a BSOD or failed boot. You need to fix the problem and or re-install the operating system.
