Touchpad not working on Sony Vaio

I believe that I turned it off by mistake...
Could anybody give me any ideas about how to turn it on again?
I don't realy think that this is a driver problem, the laptop is brand new.

right click on "Computer" icon and select "manage", then click on "device manager" and refresh it. maybe it'll do.

Read the manual. There is usually a hot key combo to turn it on and off. On my Acer its Fn and I think F7 or F8. It depends on the manufacturer but the manual should tell you how to turn it on and off.

You should be able to download a PDF version from the manufacturers support site. It may be quicker than waiting for someone with the same model to post the key combo. On my Acer the key actually has an small picture or logo to key you in to what it does. On some laptops the on off button is close to the actual track pad.

Fill in your system specs or at least post what model etc it is and maybe someone can help you. I left Kreskin a voice mail but he hasn't got back to me yet.

Click Start > All Programs > Vaio Control Center > Keyboard and Mouse > Pointing Device > Enable > Apply > OK.

Obviously, you'll need to use a mouse to carry out the above.
