Sony Vaio - Motion Eye Webcame not in Device Manager

Hi

Sony Vaio VPCEB25FG- motion eye webcam doesn't exist anywhere in the Device Manager - not under Imaging Devices, Sony Visual Communication Camera or Unknown Devices. It does not appear anywhere. The laptop does have a graphics card and I have the ATI driver running - I don't know if it a related issue though.

The laptop also came with Arcsoft Wecam companion software and the webcam used to work perfectly fine with it.

I don't know what has changed but now when I start this software, it comes up as the trail period for this software has expired.

Surely, this software will not make the camera disappear all together from the device manager. All methods of re-installing the driver are useless for me because I can't even see the device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Deep
