| | Usable Ram Issue - Help needed on how to reallocate RAM  Hello, This is my first post, I apologize if this is in the wrong section. Today I just installed 8 GB Ram inside my Macbook Pro 13 inch. My computer runs both OSX and Windows 7. After the ram installation, I checked control panel and it says 'Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00GB (2.16 Usable). So I checked on the resource monitor, and was shocked to see 5gb of ram is allocated for hardware reserve  ! How do I reallocate that amount so that 'In Use' receives more RAM? Thanks for your time. |
