Can I delete these printers

When I select printers there are two printers that I don't have. Do they come with windowsw 7 and are they needed.?

1. Printer (Broderbund PDF converter)

2. Printer (Microsoft XPS document Writer

The XPS Writer is installed by Microsoft Office IIRC. I've never figured out what it is for. I just leave it alone, it's not hurting anything.

The PDF converter was probably installed by some Broderbund Software. That one is your call. Do you own, or have you loaded, any Broderbund Software?

The reason I ask is because I also have a "PDF Printer" installed by another piece of software. If I delete that "printer" then I cannot create or print any forms from that program. And I have to completely reinstall the program to get the "printer" back. So it is best to check carefully before removing these things.

Are they causing a problem?

here's some info on the XPS thingy - it looks like it's microsoft's challenger to adobe's PDF.

whilst on the subject of PDF, you can use that broderbund 'printer' to create your own pdf's from any program that let's you print.

keep them if you think they will come in handy, delete them if you think they won't be of use to you.
