According to their website that product carries a lifetime warranty. Send it back and get another.

hang on, i'm just scraping off all the cat food and coffee grinds from it first....

disk management just hangs at 'connecting to virtual disk service' if i start it with the drive plugged in.

if i start diskmgmt without it plugged, then plug, then refresh or rescan, the little blue circle spins and spins to no avail.

Shame. Sounds like it can go back with the cat food and coffee grinds.

Removable Flash Drive Recognized as a Local Disk and not a Flash Drive
I recently purchased a 32 GB San Disk Flash Drive. The security files pre-installed on the drive were junk, and I could not delete them so I formatted the drive to remove them. This cleaned the disk, and it holds data, but I'm not sure if this is part of my problem. I am trying to load my copy of...

Resurrecting previous Win7 install
I'm afraid I already know the answer to this ... but in the hopes that I'm wrong, I'm going to ask it anyway. My five-year old PC motherboard shorted out this weekend -- leaving me with a dead box. I have recent backups (using Macrium Reflect) of both my Vista install and my Win7 install,...

Resurrecting Data From Dead Hard Drive
A few days ago, one of my hard drives failed in a somewhat curious fashion. Prior to the failure, the only clue to the impending situation was that my firewall was seeing it as I:8, instead of C:, as it should have. I mistook this for being a problem with the firewall, instead of hardware. ...

Resurrecting A Mouse
Not being certain if the problem is hardware or software, I chose this board to ask my question. I have a Logitech TrackMan Wheel mouse, which sometimes has given me some problems where it wasn't recogtnized on boot, or on rare occassions the cursor would become unresponsive, until I pulled the...
