CPU cooling fan won't turn on
The problem arose just earlier while I was using the desktop. Apparently the cpu cooling fan stopped spinning thus causing the system to frequently shuts itself down to prevent the CPU from overheating. The PC was just OK the night before. I even spent some time fixing things in it like what programs to use and settings etc etc. I could still boot the PC though, but ruling out another auto-shutdown is not possible due to the heat accumulating inside the processor while the cooling fan is off. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
The motherboard apparently only has a single 4-pin slot for the cooling fan, and the motherboard itself is just new. We just had the PC's mobo replaced because of damage to it as well as its RAM due to it being already somewhat brittle as the technician says. Apart from those two, everything in the PC is retained so a possibility of a faulty cpu cooling fan is not impossible >_____<.
