No firewire in device manager?

I have just tried to install a PCI express firewire card and the card lights up when connected but is not recognised by my computer. I have searched all over the internet for a solution and everyone elses similar problems seem to be solved by updating the OHCI IEEE 1394 driver in the device manager to the Legacy version. However in the device manager there is no OHCI IEEE 1394 device node, exactly like in this video: No IEEE 1394 OHCI Compliant selection.mp4 - YouTube

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
