Hard Drive Connection Issue - Event ID: 15, 51, 11 So I have been having problems with Two hard drives connected to my computer. Both Drives H: and G: have been randomly disappearing from My Computer and are not visible in Computer Management. They randomly come and go. When they reconnect I get the device added sound and am told to Format drive H: but that is because H: is and encrypted drive. I just looked into my Event Viewer and saw multiple Event ID: 15's and in looking that up I saw mentions to ID 11 so I figured they are related.
I have already checked to make sure that my Hard drive sleep timer is set to Never so they should not disappear because of that. I have multiple times opened my case and made sure everything was firmly connected and some times when I reboot they are there and sometimes they are not. When I boot up and they are not there immediately I can hear the drives attempt to spin up several times and eventually they do spin up and connect but then later they will randomly disappear. I did some cable management in my case and rearrange my cables and I am having issues with the same drives as I was before so I am assuming its not the cables, but it is possible I got the same cables back into the same ports. I will test them if there is not other way to check things. I read that it could be an issue with the things conflicting with the controller so If that is possible to fix without having to deal with moving cables around I would rather do that.
My system build is in my profile and are all up to date.
Tell me if there is anything else You need to know.
Thank you for any help,
Adam
