Why isn't my camcorder recognised by my PC

    A chance hit on another forum produced a solution, for anyone else who may experience it.
    In Device Manager, find the IE2394 Bus Controller, click "Update Driver", click "Browse my computer for driver software" and "select"Let me pick from a list of device drivers". Select "[B]IE1394 ohci compliant controller (legacy)". Click "Next" and the matter is solved. I don't know why or how, but it definitely works!
