I purchased a mouse keyboard combo that works as long as the computer is awake but when the computer sleeps the device will not wake up the computer. I believe it is because it its registered as an unknown device. How can I resolve this? Ill post a link of the device.

It should be using the windows default HID driver. If it isn't I can't tell you why that has happened.
You may want to check windows update to see if any optional updates are outstanding.

There is no driver specifically for this device though. None was ever made.

You may also want to try disabling selective suspend.

    Joshhud, Welcome to Sevenforums!

Read through this microsoft webpage. It may have what you're looking for (try it out). Also, expand some of those "> How to's" at the bottom that may further answer your questions.

I recommend using the auto update feature for your drivers. It should find it for you in windows update after a search and list it in the 'optional' section

*Edit after reading a little on it, others seem to have similar problems with it, and the website doesn't list a driver, perhaps windows is needed to run its own driver, in this case the "unknown device". Perhaps there is no solution to this. Try using your mouse instead of the keyboard to wake your computer. I'm pretty sure the power button on the coputer wakes it was well (if in sleep mode).

WARNING: entering the BIOS can be just as dangerous as changing Registry settings, if you don't know what you are doing. Be careful. Be smart

You might check the BIOS and see if you can change any settings dealing with the keyboard (I think they list something in there). You will want it set to legacy and enable it to wake the computer, etc.
