    AMD Quad-Core A8-3500M vs AMD Phenom II X4 P960


    Which is the better processor and why? Im seeing alot of sweet deals on HP laptops right now and im trying to do research between the different Quadcore processors.

    The A8 is a pretty new chip, so not many people have much real experience with it. I'm sure if you Googled it you could get several reviews. I don't know if it has made it on the list, but here are the Passmark ratings of CPU's. I believe a few are mobile. Don't confuse the desktop ratings with the laptop ratings of the same chip.

    Here are some Specs for Both of them (Mobile) Yea your right that A8 is only a couple months old.

    I would say the A8 hands down it is a intergrated GPU chip that might be accompanied with a discret gpu which would play decent games and speeds most APU's are around the 2 to 2.9 ghz range so you would be better off going A8 or even A6

    They have A10 which can go 3.1 Ghz your call
