biostar mobo TZ68A+ compatability with CPU coolermaster hyper 212

So I'm putting together a new rig. I have purchased the biostar TZ68A+ LG-1155 socket MOBOand I will be getting the intel i5 2500k sandy bridge CPU along with G-skill ripjaws RAM 16 GB. I might do a little OC'ing on the CPU and I really want to keep this stuff cool. I bought a ful ATX tower with 4 120mm fans and a 250mm side fan. I previously had a mid tower case and it was so cramped, a lot of components ran hotter than I wanted so I wanted lots of cool air flow. I was thinking of getting the coolermaster hyper 212 CPU cooler. Do any of you have that combination of MOBO and CPU cooler? I work for the United States Air Force and I'm stationed in Okinawa, Japan so I would have to buy this online and I wanted to make sure if fits nicely on the motherboard without impeding the RAM placement or anything like that. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I don't have that exact combination. I'm using a similar Thermalright Ultra 120 and Corsair Vengeance RAM.

To avoid any interference with the RAM, I turned the fan around and mounted it on the side facing the rear of the case. (The air is still moving from the front of the cased to the rear.)

Works fine, with no apparent performance penalty.

You can always get RAM without the tall heat spreaders, which seem to mainly be for appearance. The choices may be more limited, though.

@bobkn, I too have the same motherboard and just ordered at coolmaster Hyper 212. I think i'm going to have to end up doing the same thing as you did and placing it on 180 deg in the opposite direction since my Corsair Vengeance will get in the way of the fan. I hope installation isn't going to be that much of a hassle. I recently OC'd my 2600k from 3.4 GHz to 3.8 GHz and my temps are idling at around 53C (stock fan sucks) so I'm hoping this guy will get the job done.

In regards to the Hyper 212 Plus

I have the lower model hidden gem Hyper 101 plus dual fan

I also have a Biostar Board but with a phenom chip if you are doing any OC'ing remember not just a stock cooler could be a issue

Proper Airflow /Cable managment /How many and what type of fans you have ?

Do you have enough space between parts meaning a case that has enough size to put you fist or hand through out the hardware with ease no tight squeeze

These are things to take into consideration /also to mention that heatsink fan should do well on that set up

Intel chips tend to run hot anyway from my experience

and if you want it to cool down put more fans open more area's even mod the case to keep a constant cool going
