Have I Been Had?

Corsair disk failed at five months. RMA'd and they returned a reconditioned disk. When I look at it with AS SSD it shows some bad memory. Post attached the bench mark down't mean much it was in an external doc running from USB. But I am wondering if I should be satisfied or not.

Have you tried making sure the drive is aligned? It looks like that number is saying the drive isn't aligned - Alex Intelligent Software - Downloads

Have a look at this as well - SSD Alignment

No, your alignment is off. There are only 2 ways I know of to fix it. A clean install and alignment withe diskpart or the windows installer, or Paragon alignment tool ($29.95). I use diskpart and align it myself. You can use this tutorial by BFK, to use diskpart, except I would not use the 'clean all' command, use the 'clean' command.

Whoopsie!

You are right it was out of alignment. I cured that with disk part. It also showed two volumes. I cleaned it off and repartitioned It shows up correctly now.

With out writing an essay I'll try to explain. I used diskpart and made a partition the first time and fromatted Ntfs. The disk showed up in my disk manager in win but when I rebooted it disappeared. So I booted into Mini Part and redid the disk. That is where i discovered the offset. After your replys I attempted DiskPart again. I think maybe I fat fingered it some where. It seems ok now. Thanks people for the quick reply.

I'm sure none of us has ever fat fingered anything. But I am glad you got it fixed and running right.
