Windows 7: Share printer with other PC (XP)

I have a HP 1510 installed on my computer with Windows 7 and its shared but when a try to access it from my other PC (Windows XP) it says "Access denied".
I already tried to share my C too but i can't access it from the other one.

Help?

You either need to set up passwords on the Windows 7 host machine, or turn off password protected sharing.

(That's in the Network and Sharing Center, Advanced Sharing Settings.)

Better yet, switch all your machines to Windows 7, and have them all join the same Homegroup. ;-)

I turned off the password protectted sharing but its still asking me for the password, there isn't other way than creating a new user/password?

The process I follow for networking my XP machines to files and printers shared from my Win 7 x64 machine is here: How to make Windows 7 work with older Windows versions for networking and file sharing.

This has worked for me on all RC builds I installed plus the RTM.

I think the key is the second part of the process where you adjust the permissions on the folders on the Windows 7 machine.

I should have said that turning off pasword protected file sharing will serve for the printers, but I never tried file sharing between Windows 7 and an older OS.
