personally id go with an 1055 socket not a 1366. the core i7 2600k is a very nice cpu, and comes unlocked so over clocks like a charm.

I agree with Badger, its 1155 socket I am sure badger just made a typo.

Much newer tech, if you have a max of 200 euros then the 2600k is too expensive but the i5 2500k is an excellent CPU and well within budget.

Are you sure you won't need new RAM also?

1155 socket has a much better price/performance ratio. The 2600 1155 socket CPU outperforms much more expensive 1366 socket CPUs. Runs a little cooler and uses a bit less power too.

    Look at some comparative benchmarks.

Yes they perform amazingly well for the price.

The 1155 socket is much newer, the CPU's run cooler and consume less power, the 2500k and 2600k overclock amazingly.

There are many 1155 socket motherboards around, if you like Asus then the P8P67 pro has always been a very popular choice, it overclocks well and is very reasonably priced.

All depends on your total budget really.
