can't watch or burn DVDs, BSOD

when I go to watch DVDs or access the DVD in DVDFab, i get the blue screen of death. it flashes on too fast before it restarts my PC, to read the message. When I try to watch a DVD in DivX, I get a message saying my video card is incapable of watching DVDs and that I need a better video card. any suggestions as to what this might be. This is on my older PC. It has an MSI mobo with 4gb of memory, a pentium 4 3.2ghz cpu, and a diablotek v7500 128 bit video card. It was always able to view DVDs before i installed Win 7.

    Right click on My computer

    Go to properties

    Click Advanced system settings

    Go to Advanced

    Settings under Startup and Recovery

Untick "Automatically Restart" under system failure

This should produce you with the BSOD errors then you can pass them on and we can help more from there

    +1 TGS

You could also try the latest Video/Audio codecs, I advise Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs as i've never had any issues with them.

    Hope this helps :)
