How do I change mouse settings

Dear all,

While writing in Word (or elsewhere), for some reason every once in a while the mouse pointer comes back to where is located. For example, if the mouse pointer is located HERE, then while still writing the mouse pointer goes back there (HERE).

Can someone please tell me where or how can I change this mouse setting?

Just type "mouse" into the start menu and it should appear to you
