Dell 280 dvd drive will not start in auto

Dell 280 will not open in auto load in windows 7 after checking auto load setting etc. Could it be the drive ??

It's working thanks to the posting by JAFFACAKE43 under general discussion. O have no idea what MS FIX did to correct the problem but it worked.

I'm just not sure what FIX IT did but was it a driver that got lost some where along the line? The AUTO feature was working just before I loaded a Logitech 615 Webcam software..... In any event is working again and thanks again Wilfj
