Upgrade Questions

Hello all.

I want to upgrade my computer for tax returns. Here's my current specs:

Antec 900 case (original version) w/ Seasonic 620W Modular PSU
AM3+ socket Asus M5A99X Evo motherboard ($150 mobo)
AMD Athlon II X2 3.0ghz Regor
4GB G. Skill dual channel memory (2x2gb)
XFX Radeon HD 5770
500GB Caviar HD

I want to buy this CPU:
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT55TFBGRBOX

1) I think i'll be happy with this, but since I already have an am3+ motherboard, should I just go with an am3+ cpu. is it worth it (including the extra cost)?

2) I need a heatsink and stuff so I can overclock. What's a good one? I don't want stock. I do plan on overclocking.

What video card should I buy to *MAX OUT* Battlefield 3 with good FPS (over 30) at 1080p?

Once we figure these couple of things out I can decide what else to upgrade. But right now these are my two concerns and I don't know how much either will cost.

Thanks for the help all.

HD7970 3GB for the card
But you will probably be CPU bottlenecked with that 1055T

That seems like overkill. I heard the 6950 could run BF3 at Ultra with 50fps. thats fine by me

how will the 6950 perform?

I have a 6950 and BF3 runs great. I've had no issues with the card with that or MW3. But, if you plan on overclocking, you will not be happy with the 1055T. I used to have one. It has a locked multiplier. I would suggest at least the 1090 if you want to overclock. I can't speak for the new AM3+ chips.
