Windows 7 - Thin Sata Cable

Thin Sata Cable

Does anyone know where I can find a sata cable where the plug is the thin all the way through? I think the one that I am using now will become unplugged every so often and my computer is getting a BSOD. I do notice that when this happens, the cable is loose and not snapped in like the 3.5" drive I have. I tried to file down the fat part on the cable, but that didn't help much. It is plugged into my SSD that is mounted on a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket.

A link to a cable or ideas to how you got around it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

You could try something like this with a locking mechanism.

Newegg.com - BYTECC 18" Serial ATA-150/300 Cable L Shape plug w/Locking Latch Model SATA-118D

Mine does have a locking mechanism on it, but because of the thickness of the black part on that cable it won't latch.

This may sound stupid but i did it myself i mounted the SSD to the bracket the wrong direction and the cables did not want to plug in right, so turned the bracket around and wala the cables fit right. Just a thought

I tried to do this on purpose, but my bracket has a slight bump to it so it won't mount flat. Too bad because it would have been right on the edge so I wouldn't have this problem.
