Just buy one. I have 2 Intels, 3 OCZ Vertex and 1 Crucial M4. The oldest is over 3 years old. They all work well and have never failed - knock on wood.

All these stories about low reliability are sagas from people that have no experience with SSDs. If you scan thru the forum, you will find a lot more people where the spinning disk failed than those that had problems with their SSDs.

I just ordered a Crucial M4 128GB a few days back (on delivery coming tomorrow) only because it was $50 less expensive than the Samsung 830 notebook kit.

I don't need the Samsung kit for my laptop or Samsung's SSD software and the performance between the 830 and M4 is neglectable IMO.

It was an easy decision between the 320 and the M4, the M4 was has 8GB more space, is faster and cheaper per GB than the Intel 320 which has 5 years warranty over 3 years warranty on the M4.

If wanted the best of the best and money was less of an issue, I would get Samsung 830/Crucial M4 alongside a Caviar Black/Spinpoint F3 for desktops and Scorpio Black/Travelstar 7K750 for laptops.

Am I going to have to buy another SSD to keep up with you?

Steve, it is only because we live in 3 locations that we have to replicate a lot of this stuff. If I were only here or there, I could get away with a lot less gear.
