Upgraded computer not booting up

Hi, I've upgraded my computer and after I installedthe new hardware, i can't get the thing to boot I've tried removing the gfx card, swapped the ram round but still nothing, I've been trying for ages to get this working, help?

Its an Asus P8z68-v Pro for the mobo and a 2600k i7 cpu.

Thanks

Do any of the LEDs on the board stay lit?

Just the power and reset buttons stay lit. I press the power and it starts for a second and stops.

I upgraded the Mobo to an Asus P8Z68-V Pro, Ram to 2 sticks of corsair vengeance 2x4gb, a new ssd and an intel i7 2600k

Sounds like you have a faulty power supply.

Do you have a multimeter to check the voltages?

No I dont, the fan on the PSU moves when I start it, so does the rear and cpu fan. But the front and top fan doesnt move.

Ok, god knows what I did but its working, I can get into BIOS but I'm having trouble booting windows, it keeps asking to repair windows and then when it does, it doesnt fix anything.

Any ideas?

It can take three or four attempts for Startup Repair to fix things and importantly, you need to reboot between each attempt.

Startup Repair

You may find a clean install is quicker.

Have you checked the numbering on the RAM slots? The latest Asus boards have it backwards, the first ones are toward the edge of the board. From the photo i saw yours does too. I don't know this particular board but the ones i've tested don't even boot without the first banks populated.
