Windows 7 Home Premium will not show other hard disk drives &partition

Hey there 7 forums!

I've just graduated from the Vista Forums (Thank god) with my purchase of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

So far, it's great; there is one little problem though:

Upon installation, i created a 50gb partition on my 500gb drive (Drive C: )

So, when I'm on my computer, it only shows one hard drive, drive C:, and with a maximum capacity of 50gb. However, i also have a 750gb hard drive, and the rest of the space on the 500.

I've looked into it, and its simply the "missing drive letter and paths" issue, and that's easy to fix. However, Diskmgmt.msc doesn't give me the option to do anything to the remaining 450gb from my primary drive.

I'd at least consider expanding that C to a bit more than 50, but yeah, post a screenshot.

You can't highlight that 415 GB unallocated space and make a partition?

Would creating a new partition be done with "New simple volume"? And when it asks to format that section, I should accept it correct? I have nothing else on the drive.

If you want to make C a bit larger, now is the time to do it--before you make the new partition.

I looked into what size partition I should create before installing windows 7, and most suggested around 60gb. I don't install many programs, and the ones that I do, namely games, have their files kept on my secondary disk. Should I create a new partition that is around 350gb, so that I can have a sort of, un-partitioned "pocket" that i can use if i ever need to extend either partition?
