CPU fan speed, better fast or slow?

Is it better to have your cpu fan run slow or fast to get better temperature's?.

For one thing, your computer tends to be a little louder when your fan is running full out. As long as your cpu is running at normal specs, I would let it run using the bios or a third party application to control it.

If it's PWM controlled, the fan will run at different speeds based on load.
Usually, the faster it runs, the cooler the temps.

the faster it runs, the more hot air it moves, so the chip gets cooler, but the louder the noise.

So, buy quiet fans for it and run it faster. You can't get the CPU too cool.

As essenbe has stated. I run all my fans 100%. I have Noctua fans and they are very quiet at 100% all the time. Their is no such as too cool when it comes to computers.
