Windows 7 - Printer keeps going offline

| | Printer keeps going offline I have a HP C310a that frequently goes offline. This happens whether connected via USB or wireless. Not a big problem but takes time to correct. Hp support no help. Any ideas?  |

| | Answer #1 - two people confirmed by plugging the printer directly into an outlet instead of a surge protector, it would stay online. Crazy, but worth a try Answer #2 - make sure you have the latest firmware installed. Note firmware is different from software. | | Found this: Quote: I had a similar experience with HP online help. He had me push a different sequence of imaginary buttons (not the icons). Never could get to the engineering menu to do semi-full reset. He ended up telling me to return the printer. Instead, I went into the menu and set it to "restore factory defaults" and now the printer will come back "awake" even after extended periods of non use. Photosmart c310 goes to sleep but won't wake up - Page 3 - HP Support Forum |
