User Account Control issues (windows 7 ultimate english)

hi,
A may be easy question for who knows..
User Account Control on: "Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer"" doesnt allow me to use my scan (allinone>> epson tx130)
i have to set it up on "Never notify" to be able to scan w no problem,
.. but i dont like the idea of having UAC on "Never notify", what can i do?

Are you using one of the drivers certified for use under Windows 7? Some of the older drivers needed to be able to write to places in the registry they will not be able to under Windows 7 (old WinXP assumption, I presume):

As an alternative you could install free WinPatrol. It would give you the same notification.
