Samsung HDTV - Secondary Monitor, Extended - Blips

Hello

I have a two monitor setup.

Primary Monitor (1) - Gateway FPD1960 TFT LCD, connected via DVI
[Information - 1280x1024 @ 75hz w/GPU Scaling + Alternate DVI operation mode]

Secondary Monitor (2) - Samsung UE32C4000 32" Full HD TV via HDMI-DVI cable.
[Information - 1920x1080 @ 75hz w/GPU Scaling + Alternate DVI operation mode]

Graphics card: ATi Radeon HD3650
Graphics Driver Version: 8.872.0.0

I have noticed a 'fault' (?) over the past few months in which the secondary monitor (the Samsung TV) blips out for about a second, and then comes back. Although it is not terrible - its just irritating, as I know of friends who have their HDTV's hooked up and their machines do not do the same.

I've tried to look online but wasn't sure what to look for, and a lot of the results were regarding a dodgy DVR or Blu-Ray player.

Is anyone sure what causes this problem?

All recommendations considered

Many thanks
Dan
