Hello.
I try to install Kyocera FS-1030D KX over network on Windows 7 32 bits. The printer is installed using LTP port on Windows XP and it is working from that computer. On Windows 7 in Word the printer status is in green and the moment I select it it gets red and I cannot connect to it even if I retry many times. I tried different
drivers with no luck. In Devices and printers the status is green (ready) and I send test pages but they seem to go nowhere. There are enough sheets in the printer. No errors are reported.
I tried many different
drivers from the official site of Kyocera with no luck. There are 4 different files to download. Some are KCPL
drivers or something and there are signed by Microsoft and others are Universal (I tried all drivers)... I cannot find the printer via Kyocera software over the network no matter if I type the name of the Windows XP computer on which the printer is installed or the IP address... I can connect to Windows XP computer with no problems. It is not a cable related problem. I restarted the printer spooler service but it don't help. If I try to add printer in MS Word 2010 it says that the Directory Service is disabled or something... I can add the printer in control panel but that doesn't change a thing. The printer was working fine and I suppose some updates made it stop. Also I updated to SP 3 the Windows XP and installed 80+ additional updates on it. Nothing else was changed. I had such problem before and it was because I didn't used the Kyocera official
driver but Windows 7 update's one...
