Why is my recovery partition 37GB?

    Hi Guys,

Sorry to bump an old thread, but the subject is still actual: I did a recovery image on my Samsung notebook with Samsung Recovery Solution 5 and saved that to my data partition (like I do with Storage Craft on my other PC). Now the whole data partition is gone, or rather it does not appear anymore. When I go to my Disk Management it is there allright, but striped, and it says "314 GB Healthy (Recovery Partition)". How do I get my data back, or are they irretrievably lost?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Please attach a screen capture image of your Disk Managment screen here in your next reply.

Thanks for your quick response. I have decided to cut the Gordian knot: so I started Easeus PM Pro, assigned the old data partition a new letter and did a quick format. It is empty now, of course, but most of the data were tools, games and videos that can be retrieved from elsewhere. It was a "funny" experience, but I will refrain from using Samsung Recovery Solution 5 in the future.
