Michael, I don't think that is something to really worry about. It is just a bit odd that the 4K reads are a bit low. I just checked on some of my Vertex2. There it is even lower (in the 70's) and they perform perfectly well.
Derek, I think you need not worry. This SSD will still perform very well. The 4K nums just stood out as being a bit odd. | My System Specs |

I plan on buying a SSD to replace my current OS drive, as I'm limited of HDD space and the timing is not good, due to something I'm working on and not much time left to finish to back up, install new hdd and restore hdd on new hdd. \
I've done a few readings on SSD drives, how are SATA III (6Gb/s), good for speed ? I'm hoping I see a increase over my SATA platter drive. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows8 CPU Core2Quad (2.6 Ghz) Motherboard nVidia 775 Memory 8 Gigs DDR2 Graphics Card Geforce 480 (1.5 gigs) Sound Card Motherboard Audio Monitor(s) Displays 22" Samsung LCD Screen Resolution 1680x1050 PSU 850 Watts Hard Drives 120 Gig SSD

If you are talking Sata3 SSDs, they are currently the fastest. But you need a Sata3 port on your board. On a Sata2 port you cannot make full use of their capability. You might as well get a Sata2 SSD and save money in that case.
If you mean the new Sata3 HDDs - they are a gimmik. I would not spend money for one of those. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

You should find it in the specs of your mobo. That should be available on the website of the PC manufacturer. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 Show us your SSD performance 2 problems?
