Time for a n00b to come in and bring the hammer
I don't get the epic write cache that the Intel storage controllers bring, so I don't get the inflated write speeds on Anvil utilities. Nevertheless, this rig hauls backside...
Oh, according to my Kill-a-Watt device, the disk subsystem by itself, when under load, is responsible for nearly 60W of power draw at the wall
