I tried it for a while and it wasn't any faster at all for me, in actual usage. it just makes you feel better if you are into benchmarking. The cache is faster, but actual usage, it makes no difference that I can see. I got a pretty good score too.

But it still was not faster.

Even if there is certain elements of BS there, there is no doubt about it they are much faster then a HDD.

Yes, but you remember I told you that 500MB/s was the fastest a SATA III port can do? That is 2 Sata III ports and you will notice, they are just about double. But there is still no difference in actual usage. I only did it to get the space. 256 GB is too big for an OS and too small for the other stuff I need. So, there was a lot of wasted space on the OS drive and the other one was too small. So I put them in raid just to double the space, so now I can do both and have little wasted space. I don't recommend anyone doing this. It's not for everyone and is a big gamble. But, I can deal with it, and I don't mind doing a clean install if necessary. I usually do about 3 a year anyway. And I do a lot of redundant backups, so I'm not going to lose anything. But, for most people it is a bad idea.
