I think OCZ has a new firmware, 1.05 iirc, which improves performance.

Here's mine.
Having first tested with AS SSD, I was a bit disappointed to say the least when I compared my results to what some of you had posted here. Then I went to the OCZ forums, and they stated that not all benchmarks are the same, and that they use different algorithms. They mentioned something about compressible and incompressible data and how some drives work better with one type than the other. Having read that, I checked my SSD packaging and, whereas AS SSD was mentioned, it wasn't in the prominent (top) position. That honour befell to ATTO. I then decided to see what I got with that.
This ties in very nicely with the given specs, so I am relieved that the drives are performing as they should.

For Read/Write speeds have a look at these. They are from a friends machine. Two Vertex4 in Raid0.

So that's what happens at a hair restoration clinic!
Seriously, having seen the figures that Wolfgang posted of a friend's machine, I'm considering another upgrade and going for a pair of OCZ Vertex 4 SATA III 256GB drives in a RAID0 configuration. My other SSDs (the ones I currently have installed) will go into my other computer that I have built using the components from my previous system.

Jerry, This is what one would expect from an M4. You are within the norm.
Check your boot time in the Event Viewer (Event 100). Mine is 17sec - also with an M4.
