Here are the numbers for my new Samsung 128Gb 840 Pro as promised.
Very good SSD Barry, I bet the rig flies.

    Hi LittleJay

Did you do either of the Samsung firmware updates, v1.1 or v1.2? Support - Solid State Drives MZ-7PD128 | Samsung Memory & Storage
    No I didn't.
    May I ask, why not?

Agree, haven't found anything suggesting the new firmware is mandatory or fixes a serious problem.

I did update mine before installing the OS.
The Magician software is suppose to leave your data intact, if you do decide to do it always make a disk image first.

To tell the truth I didn't even think about it. I had my PC torn apart installing a new CPU cooler, so I installed the SSD at the same time and it never even crossed my mind. So now that I have Windows 7 installed on it and the SDD is performing well, I'll leave it as is.

Do you see dead people? Very odd Gary.

    A Guy
    Only a couple.
I uninstalled it, ran CCleaner reg cleaner and temp cleaner, rebooted reinstalled and still a blank window.
Also checked Windows Update for maybe a .NET update but nada.

The Pro Trial works except for throughput info.

    Any ideas on this?
