Thanks, I eventually stumbled on it.

Based on Anvil, I can now see that my speed decreases with queue depth instead of increasing.
My NCQ is apparently on. I think this shows up in the AS SSD test under the 4K 64 test.
There is a decent sized thread on the Crucial forum on this with no resolution.

    Another one

This is from a different PC. It's a i7-2600k in an ASRock mainboard. The drive is a Mushkin Chronos 240GB.

the alignment is right, but with only IDE mode, that is probably the best you are going to get. But, it is still much faster than a spinning hard drive. If you would like to compare. This is AS SSD of my Western Digital Black (1002FAEX) sata 3 hard drive.

As you can see comparing your AS SSD to Essenbe's the 4k is greatly faster.
The access/response time is 100X faster on Read.

    Very good considering the limitations.

Thanks guy's for the info i kinda figured that was the case, as far as working it's great no BSOD's, fast boots. You would think since this is 3rd gen the manufacturer's would have worked with NVidia to make the SSD work as well with nforce motherboards as it does with Intel. I'm still happy that someone came up with the fix atleast we can use the SSD just not to it's full capabilities.

You still have a fast SSD. It is worlds faster than a hard drive. Good job.
