I bet you are enjoying your new super fast PC.:)

The low read speeds are most likely down to AS SSD. Try running the ATTO disk benchmark as it usually gives better results.

The lower write speeds are normal for certain SSDs - e.g. the Crucial M4. See the example below.

I would say mainly just 4k

The amount of threads these apps use are not a reality for real world use. Just check the cpu utilisation during those tests to see that you never see that kind of cpu utilisation when loading apps etc.

I manage very busy servers and even on servers I dont see queue depths reaching 32+. Usually 8-12 at absolute maximum.

That is a very interesting thread and a great SSD.

After following that thread for a while, the 830 will be my next SSD.

You won't be disappointed with the 830, my advice, try to wait and catch the 256gb model on sale for under $200, that's even more better lol

I've seen it for $179 once and I was tempted to snatch it up, that is an outrageous deal for that SSD!

I saw the cheapest 256gb SSD I have ever seen in the UK yesterday £99.95 ($160) for a Corsair Performance Pro 256GB 2.5" SATA-III.

I am amazed how low the prices are now!
